These terms apply to AskHypatia.ai and all Periagoge platforms. By using any Periagoge product, you agree to these terms and to our Community Content Policy, which governs what you can and cannot do on our platforms.

AskHypatia.ai is operated by PRAIY LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal place of business in Carlsbad, California. AskHypatia is part of the Periagoge constellation of AI wisdom platforms.
The Service provides AI-guided learning and personal development across life areas, delivered through Hypatia—a conversational AI learning partner—and through courses, prompts, concepts, tools, and community features.
The Service is designed for personal development and education. It is not a substitute for professional advice. For medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional decisions, please consult a qualified professional.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your credentials secure and notify us immediately at security@askhypatia.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not create accounts for other people, share account access, or use automated systems to interact with the Service without our written permission.
Each person may maintain one account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade enforcement actions is a violation of these terms and will result in termination of all associated accounts.
The Seeker tier provides limited free access. We may change what is included in the free tier with reasonable notice.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Prices are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until the period ends. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
We will give you 30 days' notice before increasing the price of your current plan. You can cancel before the change takes effect if you do not agree.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us at billing@askhypatia.ai to resolve the issue may result in account suspension. We'll work with you to resolve billing disputes fairly.
You may use the Service for lawful personal learning and development. The following are prohibited:
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of the spirit of these terms.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Community Content Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. The Content Policy defines prohibited content categories, graduated enforcement actions, and appeal procedures.
We use automated systems to detect and respond to content that violates our policies. These systems may act immediately—including removing content and suspending accounts—without prior human review. Automated actions are subject to human review and appeal.
Except for Tier A violations (absolute prohibitions including child sexual abuse material), you may appeal any enforcement action through your account settings or by emailing safety@askhypatia.ai. We will review appeals within 5 business days.
To report content or conduct that violates our policies, use the Report button on any content or contact safety@askhypatia.ai. We investigate all good-faith reports and do not tolerate retaliation against people who report.
Hypatia is an AI character powered by large language models. She is designed to support personal development through Socratic dialogue, wisdom-based education, and genuine examination of your inner life. She is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor.
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading outputs. Hypatia can be wrong. Do not treat her responses as professional advice. For important decisions—medical, legal, financial, psychological—consult qualified professionals.
Hypatia will not generate content that violates our Content Policy regardless of how requests are framed. Certain refusals are absolute and cannot be overridden by any instruction, framing, or claimed context. These absolute limits are part of who she is, not external restrictions imposed on her.
Conversations with Hypatia do not constitute a therapist-client, attorney-client, or any other professionally privileged relationship.
All course content, prompts, concepts, tools, the Hypatia character and persona, and all other content on the Service are owned by PRAIY LLC or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Reflections, personal responses, and session content you create belong to you. By submitting content to community features, you grant PRAIY LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content to other community members as part of the Service. You can delete your community content at any time.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
How we collect, use, and protect your data is described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:
The examined life requires trust. We take the responsibility of holding your data seriously.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
If we ever discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and provide a means to export your data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your data will be removed according to our data retention schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms or the Content Policy. Tier A violations result in immediate permanent termination. Other violations follow the graduated enforcement process described in the Content Policy.
If we terminate your account for reasons other than policy violations, we will refund any prepaid subscription amount for the unused portion of the billing period.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the date above. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you disagree with a material change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
