RumiWhat is faith — a cross-traditional definition

Rumimedium

When spiritual groups struggle to define faith across different traditions

My friend and I have been in this spiritual book club for two years and we keep hitting the same wall - every time we try to talk about what faith actually means, everyone brings their own religious background and we end up talking past each other. She thinks we need to find common ground first, but I think we're avoiding the real question of whether faith can even exist outside of specific traditions.

The deeper question

The group is discovering that faith may be fundamentally untranslatable between different spiritual languages and worldviews.

Concept: interfaith dialogue
