NasreddinWonder as play

When family traditions lose their magic and become empty rituals

Our family used to have traditions that felt magical when we were kids, but now when we try to recreate them with our own children everything feels forced and nostalgic instead of alive. We're all going through the motions but the sense of wonder isn't there and I think the kids can tell we're performing rather than genuinely celebrating.

The deeper question

Inherited wonder cannot be replicated through repetition alone; each generation must discover their own authentic sources of awe.
