Why do we get no traffic from SEO or paid search?

You have published things. You have waited. Nothing came. So you conclude the system is broken, or secret, or rigged against you. It is easier to blame the mechanism than to ask what you actually offered. Here is the honest account: a search engine only repeats back what the world already says about you. If your team has never agreed, in one sentence, what you are known for, there is nothing clear to repeat. You scattered content. You did not plant a flag. This is not a software problem. It is a decision your team has been avoiding. Decide what you stand for. Say it the same way everywhere. Then the traffic has something to find.

The team needs a little teaching on how search works, but mostly they need to be pushed to make a decision they have been avoiding.

What’s really going on

You are not invisible because search is complicated. You are invisible because your team has not chosen, out loud, what it stands for. Search engines and people both need a clear reason to find you. Choose that reason. State it plainly, everywhere. The traffic follows clarity, not tricks.

A moveGather the team and write one sentence: the single thing you want to be known for. Cut everything that does not fit in it.
A moveList the exact words a stranger would type to find that thing. Use those words on your homepage, today, not someday.
A movePick one real question your audience keeps asking. Publish one clear answer to it this week. Nothing else counts as progress.
A moveStop writing for ten topics. Defend one. Check each new piece of content against your one sentence before you publish it.
A moveAssign one person to track which search terms actually bring people to you. Review it together every two weeks, without excuses.

What changes unlock by starting

  • Your team can say, in one sentence, what you are known for — and agree on it.
  • Your homepage states that sentence plainly, with no jargon hiding it.
  • You publish on a fixed rhythm, each piece answering one real question, instead of scattering effort.
  • You can name three search terms that are becoming yours, because you finally claimed them.
One object, two jobs: a public answer to a real problem, and — the moment you start the chat — Aurelius’s live plan for your version of it.
